Budget Bill increases fees for Foreign Business Corporations

The recent state budget bill passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor included Budget Bill Act 25 which increases the fee on the capital representation in Wisconsin for foreign business corporations effective July 27, 2005. The fee increased to $100 plus $3.00 per $1,000 of capital representation over $60,000 for new foreign business corporations registering in Wisconsin and filing the Foreign Business Corporation Certificate of Authority Application. The fee for filing the Foreign Business Corporation Withdrawal and Final Report Application increased to $40.00 plus $3.00 per $1,000 of increase in capital representation.

The Foreign Business Corporation Annual Report fee increased to $65.00 (if filed online) plus $3.00 per $1,000 of increase in capital representation. If the annual report is filed on paper, the fee increased to $80.00 plus $3.00 per $1,000 of increase in capital representation. The annual report fee increase applies to reports due March 31, 2006.
