Continuing Education (“CE”) Overview

Effective with the renewal period beginning July 1, 2007, a loan originator or loan solicitor who wishes to renew their license must have met one of the following requirements.

Option 1 – CE

Loan originators must have successfully completed, during the 2 years preceding the expiration date of the license that needs to be renewed, at least 16 hours of approved education. At least 2 of the hours must be current issues.

Loan solicitors must have successfully completed, during the 2 years preceding the expiration date of the license that needs to be renewed, at least 12 hours of approved education. At least 2 of the hours must be current issues.

Option 2 – CE Test Out Exam

Loan originators and loan solicitors must have passed the "CE Test Out Exam" during the 2 years immediately preceding the expiration date of the license that needs to be renewed.

NOTICE

Loan originators and loan solicitors who have not completed their CE course hours or passed the CE Test Out exam by the date their license expires WILL NOT be able to renew their license and will need to STOP conducting business in Wisconsin.

To obtain your CE transcript and review your CE number of hours completed, visit www.pulseportal.com and select "Wisconsin" and "Review your CE Transcript." To obtain a listing of the courses offered, visit www.pulseportal.com and select "Wisconsin" and "Course Offerings Inquiry" and enter a date range and click "View/Refresh Report." Click "Next" to review additional pages of courses.

If you believe that you have completed courses which are not reflected in the applied hours on your transcript, please contact the CE Provider and/or Pearson VUE (f/k/a Promissor). Please note that all CE providers have 10 working days after a course is completed to submit the course completion documentation to Pearson VUE.
