Second Annual Money Conference to be held in the Beloit/Janesville Area
Adult sessions deal with credit, financial planning, comparisons of banks, credit unions and other financial service providers, investing, building net worth and other related topics. Age-specific sessions for youth include Entrepreneurship for Kids, How to Buy a Cell Phone and Other Economic Concepts and Now is the Time to Get Down to Business, a session taught by youths who have actually started their own business. Some sessions will be offered in Spanish and a sign language interpreter for the hearing impaired will be made available if requested by February 25, 2003. Free babysitting is available for children under six, but there is a
mandatory pre-registration with Sandy Hough at 608-757-7603. Free bus
transportation also is available with pick-ups at the Janesville Downtown
Transfer Center (123 South River St.) at 7:30 a.m. and the Merrill Community
Center (Beloit) at 8:00 a.m. Return bus service begins immediately following
the conference. Registration and the continental breakfast start at 7:45 a.m. and programming
begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration fees are $10 for adults and $5 for youth
(18 and under). A brochure describing The Money Conference and a pre-registration
