Governor Jim Doyle signed into law the financial crimes
bill
(Madison) On March 27, Governor Jim Doyle signed into law the financial
crimes bill that toughens penalties and defines new crimes against financial
institutions. Assembly Bill 986 will provide more options for prosecutors
and act as a strong deterrent to criminals who commit crimes against financial
institutions. DFI Secretary Lorrie Keating Heinemann is pictured with
Governor Doyle at the signing along with officials from several banks
and the Wisconsin Bankers Association
