Second Annual Racine/Kenosha Money ConferenceTM
Follows
on Heels of Successful Money Smart Week Wisconsin
(Madison)The second annual Racine/Kenosha Money ConferenceTM features
financial education sessions for citizens of all ages. The event will
be held Saturday, December 2, at Gateway Technical College Racine Campus
from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Money ConferenceTM is a full day financial education conference for
adults and families that includes age-appropriate sessions for youth
as young as six. The conference features national speakers and nearly
25 one-hour classroom sessions presented in English and Spanish. The
Money ConferenceTM is now held in six locations throughout Wisconsin
and there are plans to bring the Conference to additional communities
in the future.
Age-appropriate sessions for youth include:
• Dollars and Sense
• A Day in the Life of Your Financial Future
• The Money Game
Highlights of the adult sessions include:
• How to Read Your Credit Report and Improve Your Credit Score
• Home Ownership 101
• The Cash Flow Game
Asset Builders of America, Inc. produces the Money ConferenceTM in
cooperation with several sponsors and partners, including the Wisconsin
Department
of Financial Institutions (DFI.)
Registration fees (that include meals) are $5.00 for adults and $2.50
for youth when pre-registered prior to the conference and $7.00 for
adults and $3.00 when registering at the door. There is a family rate
of $10
for families of four or more. Free childcare is available for children
ages two through six.
