hold an official kickoff for the 2009 Money Smart Week Wisconsin campaign

Money Smart Week Wisconsin, created by Governor Doyle’s Council
on Financial Literacy, was the first statewide financial literacy social
awareness campaign in the country when it began in 2006. Its goal is
to improve the financial literacy of Wisconsin citizens. It is modeled
after similar campaigns run by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in
the cities of Chicago and Detroit. The Fond du Lac County planning group
is one of 21 in the state this year.
Money Smart Week Wisconsin 2009 will run October 10-17, 2009.
