Pre-Summit SeminarGOVERNOR'S SUMMIT ON VENTURE CAPITALPRE-SUMMIT SEMINAR ON VENTURE CAPITAL BASICSThe Governors' Summit on Venture Capital will also present a Pre-Summit Venture Capital Basics Seminar on Monday, February 26, 2001 from 6:00-8:00pm. The Pre-Summit Venture Capital Seminar will be presented live from UW Madison's Fluno Center and the seminar will be simulcast to cities around Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Green Bay, Eau Claire, Superior, Rhinelander and Racine/Kenosha. John Neis, Senior Partner, Venture Investors Management LLC, will be presenting the fundamentals of venture capital by providing an inside look at the operation of a venture capital firm. He will discuss how funds are organized, the key characteristics sought in a prospective investment, the due diligence process, structuring and pricing an investment, the return expectations, and the post investment role of the venture capitalist.
