Credit Reporting Agencies

There are only three major credit reporting agencies in the country. Local credit bureaus normally have contracts with one of these three.

You can obtain a coy of your credit report free if you were denied credit in the last 30 days and a credit report on you was used in the credit decision. Otherwise, the cost is usually around $8.

Many creditors in Wisconsin use Trans Union as their primary credit bureau for obtaining credit reports.
